Position meaning 'the way in which something is placed or arranged'. I'm aware it's a different door, but the position / tilt / angle / pose / arrangement of the door is the same, being \ .Taking \ to indicate standing, it can't indicate lying down.

It's a different door but it's the same position. This doesn't work. If \ indicates a person standing it can't indicate a person lying down, whichever door it is.
