Also, re-experiencing the GT presentation is super-nostalgic. It's definitely really pleasant to listen to the jazz fusion and the menu sound effects and stuff.

Also, also, really annoyed there's no cockpit camera view. Not even a hood-mounted view. You get to be behind the car or floating somewhere on the front bumper.

Started playing Gran Turismo 3 last night with a steering wheel (Logitech Driving Force GT). I have a shitty Ikea bedside folding table for it right now, which is not satisfactory. Hard turns make the whole table shake, which is definitely throwing me off. I've got gold in 4/8 B-license tests so far at least. Definitely getting better at throttle control and downshifting after taking like 20 minutes each for the first 2 tests and watching other people's runs on YT. Hoping to find steering easier once I either find a better table or weigh this own down with ankle weights or somethin'. I'm worried I'll still be better with a controller and this is all just a hinderance, though I remember playing GT5 when it came out with this same model of steering wheel and finding it easier with the wheel. Might just play my way through GT3 up to 5 or 6 for the time being. Nice having something kinda' mindless I can play while watching/listening to something on my computer although taking out and putting away the steering wheel is a little hassle.

Article didn't really mention the kinds of jobs, although it definitely gave me office job vibes. I'm assuming it might mean the dress codes of the workplaces require a wardrobe they can't afford.

As others have said, you're probably misdirecting some amount of anger onto her than against society but we don't know all the details so it's hard to know how much she cares about you, society, etc. I'm guessing low-quality masks means surgical masks or cloth masks because she complains about N95s being uncomfortable or something.

I'm also assuming you're wondering how much of her taking COVID seriously at all is just because of you. So I don't know, it's a bad situation for everyone. COVID definitely exposed how fucking stupid most westoids are and I already didn't like people so I'm keen to cut people out and write them off. You'll probably be better gently telling her (or reiterating) how you feel about COVID and stuff if you want to continue being around her.
