This is a long video to highlight a simple point. Stupid implementations of good ideas are still stupid. Trying to be minimalist without understanding what minimalism was trying to achieve is going to result in bad outcomes.

You have to understand principles, where they came from, and why they exist first, then you can use or not use them mindfully.

Actually California makes over 11% of US ag output and rather a lot of that gets exported.

I think I can laugh at a dumb picture and remain aware of actual issues at the same time, but if that's what you need to focus effectively...

I could see the US breaking up along political lines, but that's going to go a lot worse for most Red states than they think it is. It's still pretty unlikely.

What's likely going to happen is just more bitching and moaning and gerrymandering.

How convenient it must be for HR for everyone to be afraid of everyone else? How could you possibly unionize or form a cooperative if you fear and distrust your fellow workers?
