I could see the US breaking up along political lines, but that's going to go a lot worse for most Red states than they think it is. It's still pretty unlikely.

What's likely going to happen is just more bitching and moaning and gerrymandering.

Honestly that won’t happen. But even if it did. Most of the US agriculture comes from red states.

The cost of food will skyrocket with tariffs.

Actually California makes over 11% of US ag output and rather a lot of that gets exported.
