MES just corrected it, and said no ballistic missiles launched by Iran yet

I think Yemen is already doing what they can.
I don’t know how reliable Middle East Spectaor is, but they are now saying MiG-29 are now in the air and missiles fired from silos in western Iran.

This is a critical contradiction within Republican Party and conservatives writ large. Conservative voters are racist af and want ALL undocumented people deported, no exceptions. To them it’s a matter of preserving white supremacy and demographic power. White folks have always received privileges from capital in exchange for loyalty, and the fewer white people there are proportionally the less incentive capital has to maintain the arrangement.
And yet capital only wants deportations as a tool of labor discipline: just enough to make workers scared and remain on the margins. Any more than that threatens their source of low wage labor. I don’t doubt capital figures they can pay lip service to deportations but otherwise not actually do things. Whether or not the base accepts that, we’ll see. Trump and the entire MAGA movement - really a coup of the GOP - was based on fighting immigration. If there’s one issue Trump’s base would turn on him for, I think it’s this one.
lol deporting undocumented persons has been Trump’s pole star since before his first campaign. The speech he delivered that rocketed him to the top of the pack in 2016 primaries focused mainly on how bad immigrants are, and how he was gonna deport them. This is like the one issue he’s been the most consistent on, jfc
I've been thinking about it a lot, but I think there's just too much that we don't know at this point to provide even an educated guess about what's gonna happen.
Ultimately yes I agree 100% with this.
I do not disagree with your analysis, but I do want to add a comment about the “credibility” point. In the US, I think the issue of undocumented persons is the most important issue strategically for a communist org or leftists in general to embrace. People understandably bemoan the lack of leftist support in the US. But they are also are looking at the lives of the top say 50-60% of the population. Also understandable - all of society is structured to make it seem like the middle class and wealthier is where like 95% of the population resides socioeconomically, and precarity and poverty are something only a small minority experience.
I believe there is tremendous revolutionary potential in the US, but the core of the that energy isn’t with people like myself - middle class white folks with an office job (obligatory “read Settlers”). It’s with the groups that experience super-exploitation and oppression: undocumented workers, African-Americans, LGBTQ folks, Muslim immigrants, etc. By standing in solidarity with undocumented persons, the PSL is right where it should be in terms of building trust and relationships in the communities with the most revolutionary potential.
Of course both things could be true - this could be bad for recruitment for them and also useful for their reputation.
Reading about all the intel Iran got from Israel, if it’s all legit is this the most significant haul from an espionage action since the Rosenbergs (o7), right? I feel like they now have the opportunity to end the Zionist entity once and for all with this. But I also feel they will just sit on it in exchange for being allowed to enrich more uranium and Israel pinky-promising not to kill any more nuclear scientists for a couple more years.
(And yes, I am a card-carrying member of the Nothing Ever Happens gang).
Libya and Syria were nearly in a state of total social, political, and economic collapse before their respective falls. That’s why it took relatively little to push them over the edge. Iran has its problems but it is far from where those countries were.
