lol Caitlin fucking Jenner is your guest of honor? Someone who hasn’t had a speck of fame in a decade and even then, she was famous for being a relatively minor part of a major reality show and then transitioning. What shitty, cringe ass country.

I suspect Israeli military censors are gonna come down hard on any videos showing anything interesting. Just because we’re not seeing Israel getting its shit rocked doesn’t mean it ain’t happening.

Honestly, so long as it helps bring about the end of the Zionist entity, I’ll allow it.

People now have a general sense that “Israel Bad”. They probably can’t articulate clearly what makes Israel bad other than “they’re killing kids, right?”, but they’ve absorbed enough information from the environment that they have internalized it.

I saw something similar happen in George W Bush’s second term. He became super unpopular, but it wasn’t from people all of the sudden doing deep dives into what actually happened with the invasion of Iraq. It was just breathing enough of the critical atmosphere that is created when you do something so goddamn stupid and evil that any defense simply cannot be believed by anyone other than the true believers.

While I don’t like to give an idealistic explanation, I would not rule out that Israelis cannot accept the idea of allowing anything to get through. It’s the ideology of the comfortable settler - you cannot allow any pain. They are unwilling to take a punch strategically. Not even saying this is the case but it could be a factor.

They may also think they will get whatever they need from the US.

Edit: I think I misunderstood the point you were making.

I think that is fair, he is certainly going to give you a more optimistic line. That said, I don’t mind getting an optimistic take as long as I know I’m getting an optimistic take going into it.

Earlier today, Ali Abunimah interviewed Mohammed Marandi. I’ve only just started the interview myself but this will no doubt be very insightful.

I am hoping that if Israel is getting bombarded from Iran, they will not be able to carry out their wishes in Gaza.

Not that public opinion means anything, but anecdotally I am not seeing any support for Israel among Americans from across the political spectrum. US boots on the ground is an obvious non-starter (and has been for a very long time), but idk, it’s possible that just significant materiel support could face strong backlash.
