Lol, find me a tattoo artist that takes credit card and they can have my skin, twice.

Pretty damning, when it's the government's own electoral commission making these admissions.

I have no idea. But my gripe is the lack of a clear notice that "this is a paid article and you must be paid member to view it", it just says words to the effect "sign in to view".

Medium.com is absolutely rotten for this behaviour.

Not only putting the soft, "sign in to view" but then on some articles requiring a full hard paywall... But you only know this after signing in.

I'm not entirely against charging for well written articles; good writers deserve compensation, but don't tease me, make me jump through a hoop only to find there's another much higher hoop sitting beyond it.

If in doubt, hit up their GitHub

And use Obtainium to get updates.

How could I forget Mono.

The album (ep?) For your parents is amazing.

I will give Ryuichi Sakamoto a listen now.

I'm appealing to help on the internet, I'm pretty much exhausted and this is my last gasp to find a way to help him tbh.

I have a friend who keeps defending him, often deflecting to attack the people writing the article (i.e. BBC) and then ranting about Epstein Island and the Clinton's etc....

Yet here we have a man who has videos of himself talking about trafficking, coercion and abuse of women - and more evidence of them openly discussing it like a grooming gang, yet my friend continues to say words to the effect of "it's the elites trying to take him down for telling the truth"

Honestly, I just do not get it, and would appreciate anyones advice who has maybe faced similar issues how to get through to them.

Probs low hanging fruit for this thread, but vinyl collecting.

Started around 2011 by going to charity shops and second hand stores to find bargains. I used to be able to spend £10 a week and get 3/4 new (to me) records. Some were great ,some were trash, but that was the fun!

Then I started getting specific records, building towards band discographies... next thing I know, I'm dropping £25 per record for two bootleg records that were definitely not worth the price. Was a watershed moment and one that made me take a step back.

Ticked over for a year or two, next thing I know vinyl records are now in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's. Every new release comes on vinyl, and they're now £25+. Charity shops are now just full of junk vinyl, and all the second hand stores now charge £25+ because their pressings are "original"... all the fun is now gone.

I've been watching the 9 on eBay, and it was tempting.... but for the same price I could get a pixel 7a. The only loss would be the headphone jack, which I have finally come to terms with, I think!
