What I find really chilling is that whenever I see posts like this or comments like this, i'm pretty certain the person would be fine with things if the nazis just stopped wearing symbols with a Nazi association.

I mean, what kind of person do you think wears a symbol like this mate and what sorta things do you think they've been getting uo to in the absoulte chaos of war? Do you think if they took that patch off their helmet they'd magically stop being a nazi or is it just that you'd no longer have to think so hard about it?

As any Cuba related thing comes up, we must remember that in Cuba, a secretive, oppressive government has rounded up countless people, imprisoned them without trial, subjected them to horrific torture for decades at a time and that same govt laughs in the face of the international community's pleas to stop or even just let impartial inspectors in to ensure even a bare modicom of humanity for those poor souls left to rot.

I mean the very thin sliver of a silver lining is that this carbon capture technology works to a degree. In anything approaching a society that actually functioned, we'd see the same levels of funding, research and energy spent on this sort of thing that we spend nowdays on stuff like weapons development or extracting even more oil.
