Apparently when one dude burned some Qurans that was seen as "all swedes and the government support burning the Qurans", and the muslim leaders pushed that narrative quite hard.

Wait, what's a frog tong??

That's what I meant :) I just assumed they did the same thing for Starfield

Fallout 4 did as well, but it worked with a list of names that Codsworth could say. I'm assuming Starfield does something similar? Or is it a ton of NPCs that use the name?

It's probably time to call in James Cameron to help raise it again

Detectorists! The thing they use are the detectors. God such a brilliant bit of TV.

That is such a brilliantly set up joke. You can see it from a mile away, but the delivery is just perfect. Reference for the uninitiated.

Oh really? That seems like a weird move.. I've at least kept it in the background, on a separate screen, at all times (though I'm not sure how much that would help..) But I'd probably use this anyway to get rid off the worst lag, it seems to be the most consistent way to do it.

Have you tried setting the process priority to high? (Task Manager -> Details -> Right click BG3 -> Det priority to high). This got me a relatively smooth experience.

That reminds me that I didn't actually find the Society of Brilliance in Act 3...

It's almost like all the right parties in the west are paid to push the same divisive talking points.

Seeing as you liked The Stanley Parable you might want to give Antichamber a try. It's also in the mindfuckery category of games. And I didn't see Portal 1/2 on your list, they are in roughly the same area of games, but focused more on the puzzle side of things.
