Haven't listened in a while, but Casefile checked most of the boxes if I recall correctly. I just don't remember if they had the scare mongering grift.

I also appreciate how the episodes have content warnings.

Also as an aside, I hate My Favorite Murder and grew to hate Last Pod for the fact that comedians were part of their casts.

I never knew this. Holy shit. I was raised as a US Christian and one of the reasons I became an atheist was because everyone made Jesus sound indifferent to those suffering in hell.

I distinctly asked a leader why, if only people who died after Jesus' crucifixion are saved, the people who came before and those ignorant of Jesus have to suffer hell.
