Obscure? Lesser known? Under viewed?

"underated" "10 out of 10"

What's normal if under is 10 out of 10?

1987? Email address at university but didn't know anyone off campus with an email address to use it with. There was a MUD one of the computer room assistants was coding.

Real Internet started for me around 1992 working for a company funded by Vint Cerf and Bob Khan. Found Mosaic on release date in 1993 on an ftp site and my mind was blown. Every morning I'd check the Cambridge coffee pot, and Library of Congress which was digitalizing documents and uploading new files all the time, and Adam Curry's MTV which had a new article every few days or so.

NATO ISAF sent troops in January 2002. ISAF took command in 2003.

"Deployed in 2001 – initially under the lead of individual NATO Allies on a six-month rotational basis – ISAF was tasked, on the request of the Afghan government and under a United Nations (UN) mandate, to assist the Afghan government in maintaining security, originally in and around Kabul exclusively. NATO agreed to take command of the force in August 2003 "

2001 or 2003. Your claim that NATO never mobilized in Afghanistan is false.

Article 5 was invoked over a year possibly 2 years prior after 9/11

"The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) declared an Article 5 contingency through a series of resolutions of the North Atlantic Council enacted between September 12 and October 2, 2001, done in response to the September 11 attacks in the United States."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_5_contingency_(2001)

Nato went into Afghanistan in 2001.

without Article 5

I already linked with sources that Article 5 was invoked and Afghanistan was a NATO mission, not the US and some allies.

NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in its history after the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States.

A computer used to be the title of a job a person performed. Electronic computers displaced millions of human computers out of their job. LLM's are doing a similar thing. It doesn't need to be sentient to provide a small efficiency boost that results in fewer employees overall.

Wife uses it all the time as a grammar checker on steroids. It tweaks her emails to be more "management speak" that makes the corporate executives very happy. It gives her more time to spend on equations instead of explaining things to upper management.

Intelligence doesn't mean sentience. Insects can perform intelligent behavior. There's nothing wrong with the term AI. It's people confusing the word to mean Data from Star Trek.

"Emmitsburg Mayor Frank Davis voted for Donald Trump in hopes he would cut federal spending. Now Davis hopes those cuts don't include the permanent cancellation of classes at the National Fire Academy, which is part of the town's identity and helps drive its economy. Davis is also a chief at Emmitsburg's firehouse, known as the Vigilant Hose Company."

Trump killed the Fema training academy. It's not coming back.

I'm new to Minecraft and did a lot of googling but everyone has a different answer for silk touch.

Does anyone have a definite way to get it with an enchantment table?

Some say you need to be level 17 and have 9 bookshelves before it will show up (random). Others say you need to be between level 20 and 30. One says 30. Another says you can just keep trying over and over using a grindstone to remove the wrong enchantment before trying again.

Don't know how old this is but it was new for me today!

I replied to a post in a thread (about how my 15 year old burned DVDs were going bad and what I was doing to remedy it). The thread is still there but my post is gone. It wasn't an argument. It was a reply to someone asking for data backup options.

Some auto generated explanation from Lemmy would be nice like : post deleted by owner. Or posted deleted by moderator.
