He's basically lived his life, all day every day for years, constantly in that state George Costanza was in when he told a great joke in the conference room and was able to skimp out on work and leave early by leaving on a high note. Seems like the current opinion of the manipulators at the top is "GIMME THAT ROOTLESS ALIENATED HANGS-OUT-ONLINE LOSER, HE'S MINE!" Everybody on every side of the spectrum vying for the same demographic of losers-so-alienated-they're-ready-to-believe-anything and they're all using the same derivative style of marketing/propaganda. It's like ten hot women all separately coming up with the strategy to market their Onlyfans at the local Friday Night Magic tournament and all being really obvious and annoying about it.

Car Dealerships are regulated into forced existence as a glorified extortion racket for the GOP. Virtually all car dealerships have right wing owners, and they're some of the most common "big" donors for local elections. Build society around the road forcing everyone to need a car, pass a law where people can only get cars from dealerships, and you basically have a situation where nearly every member of society has to give money to an institution that the right wing gets to skim off the top of, giving them the financial primitive accumulation to maintain local power forever.
