As someone who hasn’t yet migrated their gaming PC to linux, does this mean that third-party games imported into steam should work automatically? No flags or config adjustments?

If so, will it choose specific Proton versions for known games or pick a default (latest, I presume) version for all of them?

We all know how these things go, so I understand everybody’s fears but please wait to react until they make actual moves toward crossing the line. I remain optimistic about the site’s future, and the recent ways they handled user feedback as it has been changing in the last few years is evidence I should be

To be even more fair-er still, They didn’t fire everyone who worked on their best game in decades, they remain with Ubisoft just moved to separate projects. Still a shame, but you know, could always be ~~like everyone else nowadays~~ worse

I might not be understanding something about the fediverse, but isn't this like if you couldn't send or receive email from a friend because you use gmail Google decided to block @icloud domains?

Like, you're not forced to follow or interact with it, and are free to block it if you can think of a reason to, I just don't see why such an open platform used to limit users in this way
