From the Risks and challenges section of their Kickstarter:

We understand that backing a Kickstarter campaign carries a certain level of risk for our backers. With our seasoned team at the helm, we've meticulously planned every aspect of the game's development to adhere to strict budgets and timelines, all while prioritizing the best player experience possible.

Our extensive network of trusted studios and partners further fortifies our ability to deliver on our promises and ensure the utmost quality for our project. Your support means the world to us, and we're dedicated to going above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction throughout this journey.

Why didn't they include the point about needing additional investment beyond their Kickstarter target for the project to be viable?

Volunteer PR work (including knowingly spreading misinformation) is extremely common for all fanboys, it's a Nintendo specific thing.

EDIT: I meant to say it's not a Nintendo only/specific thing. It's true of all hardcore fanboys, even outside of game.

Diablo 1 and 2 were totally fine. There was no trash monetiziation around them (haven't played the remaster of D2, so can't speak for it).

Love these 80s designs. They look so cool.

This is a long series article on gacha. This is the third or the fourth one.

I can understand using a more broad definition of MMO due to changes in the market.

Is the "tool assist" not buying it in the first place? 😅

Ah, I see. Makes sense.

Cheers!

Ah, I see.

If you have a body text (anything), the Lemmy UI will add a crossposting notice (in the body text with the source text being quoted) automatically.

It's done automatically even thought there is a crossposting notice on the UI level.

I actually sometimes remove the notice and quotes when crossposting, but this time I forgot to do it.

Lemmy needs much more MAUs that the current sub 50K for niche communities to function.

The Threadiverse having millions of MAUs doesn't mean it has to be like reddit. It very much and can should be its own thing.

I am just curious, what kind of recent narrative-focused games have you bounced off from?

The WebUI shows crossposts with direct links and the body has a header.

Or maybe I didn't understand you? :)

Recently got this game in early access.

It's a very fun game that well developed in it's current state. There is room to expand the gameplay and add more decoration/item variety; hopefully this will be addressed in the early access phase.
