Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven

We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.

Our Partnered Discord Server: GayWave

Community Rules:

~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person. This includes speculating about someones sexuality, no matter how "obvious" it may be.

~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

I'm bringing the average down for everyone.

These antiquated institutions probably don’t count blowies, fingerblasting, etc either.

Also, orgies don't count. I would never call they'll my partners. I don't even know their names!

The question is wrong. It should read

"Number of sexual partners people are willing to admit to on a form."

Define a lifetime... Are we talking a week or?

Jesus those are low numbers. My wife and I are both in the high 60s

I find it bizarre as well. 52-yo and 50+ for me. Just got married last Friday or that number would be growing. Turns out having all your teeth and hair and being non-fat is quite the deal to the middle-aged chicks.

But really, how does a man not just "ooops" into 7 or more partners in his entire life?!

Many people only have sex with people they are in long term relationships with, and many people have fewer than seven long term relationships throughout their lives.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

I'm not super comfortable being touched so I really only go for long term relationships.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Right? Like the only people I know who have numbers like those shown got married right out of high-school or are super religious

I must be the only gay man with an average body count.

So how do you account for “I have literally no idea”?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

I was a niteclub bouncer for 10 years. Its a miracle my dick hasnt fallen off.

My time on the door of a gay club was one of the greatest times of my life. The regulars would bring their straight girl friends in after a breakup, they have fruity cocktails, dance with stupidly attractive men then aim them at me at the end of the night because they knew I was single.

Real MVPs each and every one of them.

Assuming this doesn't count cruising and bath houses?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Median != average

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

are those men and women flies?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Can anyone help me understand the meme?

  1. Is the meme saying that the number for men is higher because of gays? Would it be mathematically impossible for it to be different if only straight sex counted?

  2. Or is the meme joking that gay people have way more partners than that?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It's #2, the meme is saying that gay men have more sexual partners than straight men.
