There was a genuine real life example of a "good guy with a gun" stopping a "bad guy with a gun" in Colorado in 2021. The cops rolled up and immediately killed the "good guy with a gun."

Bc they're scared in general of getting shot. People have no idea how they're gonna react and that situation and it's pretty common to completely freeze up in shock. This even happens to some people in the military.
That's actually a fair and understandable reason, not an excuse as far as I'm concerned.
By contrast, all the usual tough guy talk from wannabe "good guys with a gun" about what they would supposedly do in that situation is pure tier internet tough guy bullshit.
