I have the same issue but the communities appear both on my feed and my subscription list, so it's probably a visual bug.
This isn't the case for me. I have a bunch of lemmy.ml subscriptions pending, and none of them show up on my subscription feed. Hopefully this is fixed soon
Beehaw usually works fine for me but lemmy.ml seems to be problematic.
Beehaw had the same issue until a few hours ago so I assume it's a load issue.
I think it may be a visual bug. Happens to me too. When I first click "subscribe", seemingly nothing happens. If I click subscribe again I'll get stuck on "pending". If I leave the page and go back I'll see I'm not subscribed, but when I look at my subscriptions I'll see it there twice!
I've started clicking subscribe and then just leaving the page. While the button doesn't react, it does seem to be working.
