I had read about https://kaomoji.ru/en/. I don't know if there's a specific word for the Chinese counterpart or if they do it the same way Japanese do.

{顔文字|kaomoji}, the word, uses adapted Chinese characters (literally: face characters/letters), so I wouldn't be surprised if their word for it uses their equivalent.
