His inability to avoid it is his lesser-known vulnerability.
Dude, he just got thrown off by just how slow it is. Like in fighting games. You are used to opponent light spamming the ever loving shit outta ya, so when he throws out a slow ass heavy you dodge just for the tracking to jump in later than normal and boom, got hit
Only if Batman poon didn't have time to prep and wasn't prepared first.
Batman's solution to Silver Age Superman, a character that can pull planets around on a string:
"I'll trip him."
It works.
Thank goodness it's not a bullet- that'd violate Batman's moral prohibition on guns!
Also it's to make sure he can hit superman. Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, but a batpoon isn't a bullet. Checkmate
