In the southern it's Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year.

Probably just a coincidence. 😉

Sounds like an Illuminati conspiracy to me

I’m at a latitude of 52° and I’m already losing it over light induced insomnia. I really wouldn’t want to live any higher. 😵‍💫

I am confused. The solstice was yesterday (the 20th).

That was last year. This year it’s the 21st.

At 02:42 UTC, I see the confusion now, for pretty much everybody west of the UK and east of the Date Line it was the 20th this year too.

I do care about about 21-22 of December because it is really dark and turning for a better is nice, but rarely recall 21st June because it is already enough light for a long time so the situation isn't important.

For me, it’s the other way around. In the summer, I become somewhat of an insomniac. Too much daylight. Messes with my head. 😑
