>> Colorado GOP Congressman Gabe Evans introduced a non-binding resolution on Friday that labels ‘Free Palestine’ as “an antisemitic slogan.” The bill seeks to limit immigration of people who oppose Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine and Tel Aviv’s genocidal onslaught in the besieged Gaza Strip. The bill is expected to be voted on some time next week.
The bill reads, “Whereas, while shouting ‘Free Palestine,’ an antisemitic slogan that calls for the destruction of the state of Israel and Jewish people, Mohammed Sabry Soliman attacked the peaceful demonstrators with homemade Molotov cocktails.”

How many wars and genocides does Israel have to be involved in before "Destroy Israel" becomes a more popular slogan?
Nobody seems shy about saying "Destroy Russia" or "Break up China" or even "Invade Mexico". Hell, nobody seems shy about saying "Nuke Iran". Beginning to think there might be some kind of regional political bias to which countries we're allowed to fantasize about demolishing.
Yeah obviously any countries the old white people hate are oltologivally evil and we can go explode them but if they like them then it's illegal to disagree. I love living in such a free country

Free speech protections are still in place, and this is why they are important. This resolution can't prevent people from saying it, just signals that the current house of representatives wants to.
Peaceful protests are being quashed by the literal US military/national guard. There are videos of police specifically targeting people with signs/flags they don't like with "less lethals".
Before that campus protests calling for an end to genocide were quashed by local police.
People who attend either of these protests are being jailed and/or deported.
"Free speech" is a myth.
Congress can deem whatever they want, I'm gonna keep saying Free Palestine until Palestine is free.
Reminder that the KKK still hasn't been outlawed.
The further they push, the more regular people will recognize it as insane.
