Bike gears are intriguingly analogous to genitalia. The derailleur type being male, the hub type being female.

Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles, heelies, or an office chair: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Outside to touch grass?
Well, apparently the witticism was not appreciated. Must be hard to find a way to take offence at literally anything but whatever...
I was actually making a serious point. The standing joke goes that God was unkind to men when he put their delicate bits on the outside - and in fact it's true for bikes too. Hub gears make much more sense than derailleurs - the vulnerable parts are protected! But as I understand it there's a trade-off with the efficiency of power transmission. To be honest I've never quite understood this, nor why amazing 7-speed hubs are not a thing.
I think everyone got the joke, but comedy is hard.
Fair enough. I Just see downvoting as so juvenile and petty. We don't jeer people at every turn in person, we have manners.
