You are allowed to own a gun and you are allowed to protect yourself and your family with a gun - but then you are not allowed to do so when the police is at your door, cause they have the right to shoot you if you own a gun and use it to protect yourself.

it seems to me that, given qualified immunity, and the cavalier attitude of cops with guns, it's reasonable to make preemptive strikes against law enforcement for your own self defense.
i don't think it's illogical to say that every dead cop makes this country safer.
I learned long ago there are only 2 kinds of cops.
Bad cops and worse cops.
This is likely due to free masonry and the judge and cops both having membership at lodges.
No reasonable person thinks a cop randomly showing up at night out of idiocy, and an older man waking up and grabbing a gun, and being shot is acceptable, or justified, on account of the fact that the police were there because of sheer illiteracy.
