There's a "Is he dead yet?" Winny the Pooh meme going around for The Great Orange One. It could apply here as well.

Muck isn't the founder or creator of shit. He buys companies for pennies then gets luck. The first Tesla was a rip off of the lotus, PayPal Twitter and many more companies that he invested in were all created and founded by someone else. Musk just had the capital to invest cause of daddy's African slave mines

Since he owned Twitter and is responsible for the founding of X, the claim that he founded X is technically accurate. I don't wonder if that's the main reason he did the rename; so he could make this claim.

The definition of "found" is not extremely precise, so it's still a debatable point. Did rebranding the company count as "starting or establishing a new organization or institution"? The fake obit doesn't mention Twitter, and he was responsible for the rebrand and inarguably drastically changed the employee base and entire leadership structure. Did he not found it because it's the X of Theseus? Now I'm arguing against my own point, but I only made it for giggles.
