Neoliberalism is the real threat, and trump is a symptom. Not to insinuate that he isn’t a threat in his own way, but as long as the system remains the way it is we’ll just get an endless procession of guys like him.

The dude doesn’t exist in isolation.

It is sometimes hard to picture how liberals view the world. Unconnected things happening without cause or reason

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 45 points 5 months ago

One of the key phrases from trump's first term was "I'm not so worried about this dipshit, but the one that comes after him"

Just didn't expect it to be the same guy the second time

Yea no for sure and that’s why everything got better under Biden and all the deportations stopped, abortion was codified, and a genocide didn’t happen, right?

So what? Is their only argument a {half-thought} strawman and a mockery of our diagnosis of a symptom

[–] ProletarianDictator@hexbear.net 7 points 5 months ago

Every one of those statements is correct.

[–] REgon@hexbear.net 5 points 5 months ago

"You are a child" is a great argument will.

"You are old, your body is already failing you, so why should I believe your mind is intact? Do you even remember last year, let alone 2015?" Is of course a terrible argumenf that you would only trot out if you have nothing to say

There's going to be a shitton of blame going the rounds around Palestine, a tragic issue which did not decide the outcome of the election.

I hope leftists can realize the reality that if Kamala vowed to restore all of Palestine, she still would've lost. And I hope liberals can either admit that they're fascists, or in the case that they're not, realize the reality that if every Palestine wedge issue voter went blue, Kamala still would've lost.

She would have like won. But if she did not, at least she would have lost not supporting genocide.

She would have like won

no

You severely underestimate how unpopular Trump was. Only by applying a machine gun to their own foot did Democrats manage to lose.

Kamala was ahead while her mouth was shut.

The Bush v Trump framing here is disingenuous as “Bush was worse than Trump” is not the same thing as “We like Trump more than Bush.” Once again, liberals are incapable of political realism and must turn everything into a morality play.
