Summary

Donald Trump announced an executive order to expand migrant detention at Guantanamo Bay, authorizing the Pentagon and DHS to prepare facilities for up to 30,000 undocumented immigrants.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned the plan as "an act of brutality," criticizing U.S. use of Guantanamo for detention.

Refugee advocates also decried the facility’s conditions.

The expansion follows Trump’s signing of the Laken Riley Act, which increases pre-trial detention for undocumented migrants accused of crimes.

Isn't Guantanamo Bay specifically there as a gray area prison that doesn't have to abide by US laws and guidelines?

And then the US said to Germany, "We too, can do Auschwitz."

One of them has their hand on the water and power controls. If it's the right one, then the problem solves itself.
