Trying to figure out if this is supposed to be a slight towards the “woke” implying they’re okay with sexual objectification of women as long as it’s in an LGBT context, or if it’s a slight towards the gamergaters implying that they’ll deny that something is blatant fan service for cishet men just because of the most superficial level of queer-coding.

Signalis has a bunch of body horror stuff. Most of the enemies are hourglass shaped female androids with wide hips, but also they're weird zombies like the Silent Hill nurses where the sexualization is just one aspect of it. The game has a bunch of themes involving idealized humanity and the consequences of it. Like it's implied at various points that the androids are actually the ruling class and humans are kinda like domesticated pets.
Also yeah there's lesbian stuff in Signalis but it's just kinda normal romantic pining and tragedy not like explicit whatever. I really like Signalis and I thought maybe its niche appeal would mean only people who understand it would be into it but I guess not
