Glad we're done with the depraved libs everywhere thing

Like I saw a lib today in the comments and went off on them for being terrible, only to realize that it was one of us doing an excellent bit.

we're back baby

Yeah I'm glad we fixed the mistake of federating with libs. Comrades were getting harassing DM'ing because liberals don't care about purging fascists in their communities. Sure it's fun to dunk on them because it's low hanging fruit, but vulnerable people post here and I'd rather they feel comfortable than invite in cretins.

Turns out all their talk about "red-brown alliances" was projection the whole time

To think i ever doubted Stalin about social democracy objectively being the left wing of fascism.

Wait, did I miss something? I'm from one of those "lib instances" and I'm not seeing anything about defederation.

We had a lot of problems with sh.itjustwor.ks I think it was

[–] [email protected] 29 points 2 years ago (1 children)

But they were Canadian which means they're so polite and don't look at that pile of skeletons or that one or that one or that mass grave over there sus-soviet

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 years ago

I just thought they were assholes, I didn't even know that they were regional assholes.

I don't see why you put it in scare quotes when the owner of your site says a hammer and sickle is comparable to a swastika

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You talking about this posts?

I did not want to take further actions in that thread in general (for archival purposes), but I did take one action, which in retrospect was a mistake: I removed a comment which contained the hammer and sickle symbol. I ignorantly associated this symbolism with Kremlin propaganda, and the atrocities my own people suffered at the hands of the soviet union during the previous century. Many users (including hexbear users) correctly (and politely) pointed out to me in DMs that the symbol has a much broader use than just as the symbol of the USSR, and people elsewhere in the world may not associate it with the USSR at all. I am grateful for users who pointed this out to me without resorting to personal attacks.

I get hes not a leftist. But I feel like he gets a "one of the good ones" stickers.

It was an earlier comment than that

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wait, for real? Thats a pretty dumb thing to say. I've seen him be fairly supportive of hexbear.

I saw a comment of him complaining about some Hexbear users calling him subhuman, which got unanimous support that its not okay. But even after that he told users to block individuals and he will not be defederating.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

He's not a monster or anything, just a liberal, which is all I was intending to say

[–] [email protected] 28 points 2 years ago

yeah everything has settled in is mostly what I mean, the libs that are still federated know they'll get got by communists if they spout uncritical bullshit, and everyone else is left adjacent so things have mostly calmed

Your time is coming, just you wait

Yeah, imo federation with sjw was a net positive; the two days we were federated sucked but it kicked off us deciding to defederate programming.dev and that other one we also defedded way earlier than it otherwise would have

[–] [email protected] 33 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

defederate programming.dev

Their modding policy claims they are nonpolitical and don't allow politics in their local area.

That's why so many chuds that came to Hexbear threads to vomit up everything from eugenics power fantasies to bloodsoaked NATO imperialist talking points did it all so nonpoliticially.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Got some overt reactionaries in the Abaya ban thread, though, including from hexbear

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 years ago

That thread really brought out all the very-intelligent ”I'm not racist because Islam isn't a race” assholes who mentally never moved past 2005 edgy NeW AtHeIsM, huh.

I'm coming down with a bit of fighting withdrawal, not used to the peace and quiet, but this is for the best.
