These people are defending free speech in the online space. Denying the woke mob trying to subsume culture under it's twisted visage. They are brave heroes who will depose the tyranny imposed by the american values hating minority upon all the citizens of this great nation.

I like that you removed the default +1 upbear from your post

He's not lying btw. Big ups for the commitment to the bit for almost a year now

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Not a bit,I do not think it is productive to engage in that system

It’s important to keep your disposition matrix up to date.

If someone told me that 4chan would end up as the blueprint for the entire internet, I would have called them crazy.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago

they would be crazy the modern internet is nothing like 4chan. On the modern internet people say unhinged racist and misogynist stuff with their real name behind it.

I’ll never understand why humans find rudeness to be a likable trait while kindness is looked down on.

Why people enjoy being mean for the sake of being mean?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 5 months ago

Because it makes you feel better than somebody

If you can convince yourself that at least you're better than a black guy/a transwoman/etc., that's really all you need

[–] [email protected] 16 points 5 months ago

well it's still against meta rules to be rude by insulting someone's character or intelligence

So you can call trans people ableist slurs and tell women to stay in the kitchen, but don't you dare say that someone is a piece of shit for the actions they take

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago

For fucking real.

I get having a hard day but why be mean and throw it out on others? We all struggle, why make it fucking harder? Does it kill people to watch others smile? Being nice to others not only makes others happy, it makes me happy too. Is that not fucking normal for these weirdos or something?

I just don't get it.

I would contend this isn't a human trait, and like many things is probably downstream from Calvinist brainworms in some way; relating virtuousness/"divine favor" with the perceived position in a given social grouping etc.

It is really bad in Australian culture. :(

Remember in 2022 when Meta changed the rules to allow calling Russians orcs and slurs, and stated they would no longer enforce any discrimination against Russians?

That was the canary in the coal mine that libs failed to heed. They were fine with it, and now they don't have a leg to stand on when opposing this.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

"failed to heed"? they cheered it on!

I really want to delete all of my Meta. Theres a few group chats though including my family one over messenger, and also i do mostly follow activist accounts on insta. But i really despise these platforms now and im guessing it wont be long before activism, especially explicitly leftist and pro palestinian activism is gone from these platforms anyway.

Mainstream social media is so fuckin cooked and the only alternative with any steam behind it is bluesky.

Im wondering if we will see a regression to smaller online spaces. I already mostly replaced my idle social media time with hexbear although im also a fucking weirdo

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Regress to offline interactions 🙏

It's wild how as much as he's a joke he's also serious because he causes billionaires to kiss the ring this excessively.

Like yea trumps a borderline illiterate lazy dumb fuck but all these "liberal" billionaires are cutting huge checks after ignoring the dems last time around.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

Can we agree, then, to call men, domestic furniture?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

No longer getting banned for posting house of Gord.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I support anything that tells us who to ridicule and ostracise.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

Of course. Make the rules as lax as possible and then when your underpaid third world moderators are spending 100 seconds per report as opposed to 70 you can claim redundancy and lay them off.
