Being a CEO must be pretty easy if he has all this time to demand to be pandered to.
He wants attention from nerds and chuds. He really wants to be the Nerd King or whatever, so he wastes his time and money with this shit. When Bernie Sanders was popular (2015 - 2018), Elon used to pretend he was a socialist (what he meant was that he was a social democrat) and that he supported Basic Income and LGBTQ+ rights, but behind the scenes he was still a conservative lib that gave money and support to people like Obama, Hillary Dlinton and Biden.
I believe Elon thinks being a chud/republican is popular now and counter-culture, so now he changed all his opinions to be compatible with those people and be popular with these people. Elon is a very shallow person with basically no real morals or ideology besides making money and being popular, that's why he refuses to say bad things about China and the Chinese goverment.
He's also basically directly saying that the experiences of women and trans folks cannot be art, which is extremely telling and also extremely unsurprising that he would think that.
The genital option in cyberpunk was so silly. Aside from sexualising trans people while locking pronouns to voices, why no t-dick? Why no penis but no testicles (post orchie)? Why no robot penis or vagina? Why not both or nothing there like a Ken doll?

I don't want to believe it, but, well, any body remember how trans and gay porn tends to be searched more heavily in red states? What if it isn't that he's illiterate, but rather that Elon really relates to this media not at all on accident, and deals with his feelings about himself by being a bigoted, ultra-divorced shit bag? Someone I know a little more personally and didn't talk to for a few years ended up transitioning both from female to male and non-nazi to Nazi in those few short years, so it wouldn't be the first time, I guess.

Basically, I knew them from a webforum in the oughts and early tens, and we reconnected just before the pandemic hit. I noticed a lot of Jewish merchant memes, which kind of surprised me from the person I knew they used to be. The more I watched, listened, and followed up, the more they leaned into the whole "I'm an ironic Nazi" bit. Of course, we all know that there's no such thing as ironic Nazis. I've always fantasized about bullying fascists IRL, so I took it as a chance to learn more about the enemy, and I would say that I benefitted greatly from that experience.

It's nothing new these days. Basically, it taught me about the YouTube/podcast/male-coded media to Nazi pipeline. Basically, every time I started to defuse their bullshit, they'd just share a video at me by some rightoid influencer. It also taught me about the whole "ironic Nazi" thing. Probably the biggest thing I got out of it was being able to quickly pick up on the tells of nazi-coded speech. Stuff like hiding behind 'jokes', hiding your power level, etc. I find it a little difficult to convey, I guess it's a little like the difference between reading about the planets and seeing them through a telescope (but a lot less beautiful). It just isn't the same, and not matter how much reading you do, it's not going to really prepare you to actually experience it.
