Just toggle the NSFW setting on your account, way easier. lemmynsfw has been pretty great at correctly flagging all NSFW content correctly.

There is NSFW stuff I'd like to see that isn't porn.
The more communities you block, the wilder the ones that you start seeing get, too. Once you've blocked all the 'normal' porn, only the really gnarly stuff remains.

After I blocked 2 nsfw communities I definately started getting lots of literal doo doo on my front page lol.

If you're browsing on desktop or the mobile site, this Tampermonkey script allows you to block entire instances. It's a little fiddly since you have to manually input the instance URL, but it works and blocks all posts and comments from each instance.
