Why? Because this will ensure that the user is taken to the community while staying in their own instance, thus being able to subscribe.

Surprised to see how many people think this is a soft punishment. Considering he didn't actually commit any crimes and certainly wasn't found guilty of anything, I think this is about right. Ja is an idiot, but flashing a gun on IG isn't the same as accumulating DUIs or domestic violence charges

But to answer, I think the general opinion is that while the crime isn't incredibly severe, it was Silver's comments about it overshadowing the Finals that made everyone think it'd be a harsh(er) punishment
