Melbourne's daily threads have like 65535 comments a day. Brisbane's daily thread generally has 3.
I'm getting sore shoulders doing all this carrying.
I try to help out by posting Brisbane articles whenever I see them, but not living in Brisbane makes it hard to join in on discussions
I check in on your DTs and chuck out some upvotes every so often

I can't usually contribute very much to the discussions that stem from it, but I figured the more posts there are, the more potential for discussion there is. Stops the communities from being entirely dead at least I guess

So, yes. 8th of June would be a date I'd endorse. It's also @lodion's signup date. The oldest "regular" user is @BadlyDrawnRhino, who signed up on June 16th. You could argue that was the day we opened to the public and is more appropriate.

I see what you mean, you pre-date June 16th. I actually didn't know there was a week where signups were free-for-all and not admin approved. Rhino was the earliest user who was approved by an admin. Now I'm back to endorsing June 8th.
I actually thought I did have to fill in one of those applications doo-dads, but I have accounts on a few other instances, so perhaps I'm getting mixed up.
I think the vast majority of people joined on either June 10, 11, or 12, when rexxit was peaking, at least most of c/Melbourne did.
I stuck with BaconReader until it stopped working on July 1. Then I just detoxed for a bit.
After a couple of days, I looked into this whole Lemmy thing and then laughed out loud when I saw an old friend was running the Australian instance.

Right next to the comment never shows dates on jerboa, sync, or on duckduckgo when i've checked. As the comment gets further away in time it turns into x months ago. Which is totally fine, apart from in this case.
