I had to read Legacy of Ashes for one of my college courses

At the time, it did a decent enough job of convincing me the CIA was bad

But yeah, it's not a very good book in retrospect

Very much a "America is good, but the CIA is bad and makes America worse" type of thing

I think that's called a 'limited hangout'. Admit to things you can't deny but obscure the intentions and severity. I also just don't like his writing style.

I really want to read Aaron Good's American Exception soon.
