My cat used to do the same to me.
I dunno. When I catch my cat staring, she’s usually either just watching or she’s feeling like she might start creeping up on me when I turn away—like she loves playing red light/green light. When my cat wants pets, she’ll jam her face into me and walk back and forth in front of me meowing.
Cats are constantly plotting how to take out their owners. Don't worry, they are to lazy to ever attempt it.
