The fact that they lumped all possible sources of income into "good" "bad" or "inherited" makes me question the validity of the entire study

Thank god especially German inheritance does not come from any sort of families working with fascists. It would be just awful, if say BMW had any family connection with Porsche or something like that.
AFAIK BMW has no connections to Porsche, they achieved this garbage "all on their own". You're probably thinking of VW.
Now I'm going to pretend I am surprised that many wealthy people just have wealthy parents and actually aren't the "self-made men" they love to paint themselves as.
