Tractors transcend language. In Three Body Problem they should have bonded with the Trisolarans over tractors and we'd have had galactic peace
If you make it to the 3rd book that almost comes close to what you are wanting. At least I think so.
Spoiling the entire series for myself is what got me interested but I know the tractorpill is just a ruse
