what i find hilarious about this is that the guy is not upset about the beans, per se.

hes not upset he has to clean up beans, or that this event will now be bean-less..

he has to go on living with everyone around him knowing he spilled the beans, and he will be reminded. that is why his hands are on his head.

Nah .... the worst part of this is the feeling of having lost so much time effort and work to get to that point. It probably took him a few hours or a few hours of someone else's work to get to that point .... now someone else has to make up for it.

I don't mind cleaning up kitchen messes but the worst part of that experience is in losing all those hours because you tripped, stepped on something or missed a step.

That and now everyone gets to make fun of you and the beans.

Yeah, that's like at least an hour of cleaning. If he has other tasks in front of him, this sucks.

What? In a kitchen, that's like 5-10 minutes of cleaning. The longest part is remaking it

That is probably splatters on every piece of equipment in a 2m radius, including the ceiling. And beans are sticky -- so you've got to clean it fast or it's extra work later.

2m radius

You make it sound like it's 20.

30 minutes of cleaning tops.

Closing an entire kitchen should take around an hour. Sweep the beans up, hot soapy water from top to bottom, mop, it really shouldn't take anywhere near an hour for a single spill.
