Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

Thank you and happy chatting!

We've got a bunch of new people now so let's bring back a classic post. What low stakes conspiracy theory do you believe that you cannot prove but feels right to you?

I'll start: I believe that dating apps have made a concerted effort to smear in person meeting people and tie it to being "creepy" through social media so you are forced to meet people online(which was the creepy option just 15 years ago)

I haven't even bothered to look in to it. Didn't he say something like "Aliens are super duper real, guys, I just can't show you any evidence at all to support my claims."

Like whatever, dude. 1.) I don't care and two, call me when the Klingon Ambassador throws a rager and i'm invited, because otherwise I don't care.

Yeah the guys testimony is just " I super swear that people who definitely did see UFOs told me about them. I never saw any though"

So it's either his invention, a conspiracy to make him believe it to further the UFO/UAP misdirection, or the people did tell him tall tales because he's easy to fool.
