First Worlders are fucking weird
You’re not wrong, but also it’s not like the global south hasn’t also given up on covid precaution.
My friends in the US tell me about getting weird looks, getting coughed at, and more for wearing masks. I haven't experienced that where I am. I don't know how it is in the rest of the global south, but I imagine only the anglo countries are so atomized as to shun people for taking COVID precautions.
I always mask in busy places and I get a lot of dirty glares. Last time it was worse bc I had a bad cold and had to fly and I was just thinking to myself bro this is for your benefit...
