NFTs were supposed to represent ownership of real-world objects - like a deed or a bill of sale does currently. The fact that they immediately became defined by stupid monkey JPEGs is a real shame.

1,000 times this. We could have upended entire predatory industries but instead we got collectible animal pictures. Cool

Not even collectible, really. Just stupid.

In my head it was “collectible”. Shoulda included the quotes.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah that makes sense.

Imagine being able to buy tickets to events again.

I feel like if stores like Lowe's or Wal-Mart needed a distributed bill of sale they would use it.

I imagine a board room where the idea is brought up and the board asks, "What's wrong with our current system?" or "How much money will this make us?" Then the idea would be quickly shot down.

I get what you're saying, but it's not really for boardrooms. It's for communities. The community.

It's supposed to be the modern-day equivalent of rai stones.

Who knows, maybe something post-crypto will be invented which can actually do this.

Maybe. Maybe I'll grow wings and start shittin' peaches. Time will tell I suppose.
