In another life I'd love to be a float plane delivery guy, dropping off toilet paper and beer to people living in bum fuck nowhere, and maybe doing some lite smuggling on the side. I'd have a handle like "Buck" or "Otter" and have a big beard.

The De Havilland Otter is objectively the best seaplane.
Not to get too "um akshually" with your distinction between floatplane vs. seaplane, but I'd contest that the Otter is the best floatplane; PBY-2 Catalina best seaplane, don't tell me having one of those converted into a mobile home & chilling on a south pacific atoll isn't the dream
I can agree with that, especially growing up watching Tail Spin
I had a model pby-2 when I was a kid. I loved that thing so much.
