Beyond all of the answers noting the site's lack of approachability, there's currently a community moderator strike going on at the moment because the CEO has been two faced in communication with the public vs communication with existing mods. He also has this idea that he can somehow pressgang the existing community into acting as editors/revisors for some new GPT like product he seems to want to make out of the existing knowledge base, which the community is pretty completely against.
