Putting aside whether terror is strategic, taking hostages is a strategy.

In what world is a disabled person able to board a car on their own but not a bus or train? And in what world are those busses and trains not staffed with people to help? Are we talking self-driving busses and cars with wheelchair driving options as a standard?

I was responding to the claim that the program would stop working, not that the program would need larger payouts to eliminate poverty.

The program runs at reduced payouts if it's not "fully funded". That's how the law is written and isn't controversial, just not really talked about in these kinds of doomer articles.

Wealth redistribution isn't a ponzi scheme. Even if we do nothing to "fix" social security it will keep writing checks.

Alternatively: People know Amazon would do this, they're just surprised that we are all standing around letting it happen

I have a kid who enjoys their school food because people there care. Fuck anyone actively denying that my kid actually receives a benefit from that service and from people actually caring about doing their job well.
