from my experience with dads, as long as you give more than zero fucks about your own health you’ll probably be fine. my own pops is currently dying from an entirely treatable condition bc he thought the monthly blood tests his doctor ordered were some kind of conspiracy to get his blood! :3

i’ve known of dogs who hate men and are totally cool with trans women. sometimes even really eggy ones or folks who might not even know themselves yet. it’s wild how well animals can catch a vibe.
i reckon qud is the smaller burden between the two. in terms of both how much you’ll need to learn, and how much of your life it will eat once you do.
they (or at least the later palm pilot) had a surprisingly robust system for recognizing handwriting! individual characters had to be single strokes, and you needed to write each one a buncha times to calibrate initially so it has something to compare against, but i remember it being notably faster to type with than other contemporaneous tiny keyboards.
the real pro move is to do this, and then immediately fess up that you actually broke it first. you get to be honest, the second person gets a little “phew, wasn’t my fault” moment, and all around you’re both less upset about the broken thing.
