Paul Craig’s gonna be the LHW champ by the end of the year.

Low profile key switches have the obvious advantage of being smaller than MX switches…but the problem is that silent options, especially if you’re into tactile switches, are seemingly nonexistent unless I’m missing anything?

Data Discs is also on Bandcamp, and they have some great retro soundtracks too, including the Streets of Rage soundtracks and Revenge of Shinobi — I believe they worked with Yuzo Koshiro to get the original music files so they sound PRISTINE.

Not remotely the same genre, but my vote for perfect arcade game is Time Crisis 2.

So I’ve got a mediocre mini PC that I’m using as a NAS with a USB RAID1 enclosure after my NAS bit the dust. It’s running the following:

  • Network file sharing
  • Pi-hole
  • Tailscale
  • Navidrome
  • Logitech Media Server

And then I’ve got a RPi4 also running Tailscale, a backup Pi-Hole, and something called mlbserver which lets me access mlb.tv streams (legally) as m3u8 playlists and avoid the mediocre mlb apps.

And for anyone that hasn’t listened to An Abstract Illusion…go do that

You’ll be fine. Just be patient as your muscle memory adapts.

Now we have a screenshot of Kevtris saying there were major revisions inside after all: https://twitter.com/FBXGargoyle/status/1672377990452498432?s=20

Some folks were saying their systems turned up earlier than expected? Maybe Analogue just wasn’t ready, but it does seem like they at the very least messed up by not telling everyone “hey there were major revisions inside after all”

Yeah, I use my Mac’s keyboard often enough without issue. Just takes some time as you are developing that new ergo memory.

You could try using conical rubber bumpers to create an angle, or I’ve seen adhesive laptop stands that folks have used for tenting keyboards that I wonder if they would work for wrist rests too.

The only problem I’ve had with them is that they leave a little grid mark on your hands after a while, but they’re solid for flat keyboards.

Here to also say that Lor is great. Definitely gonna check out Others by No One based on this.

Also check out Dubious Disk, which has an improvisation built on this track. https://i-voidhangerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/dubious-disk
