The pens! Also, I see a bit of Suzuki watching us in that sword reflection.
As a meta comment, I believe I have enabled all the shows from last week's discussion thread at this point so that the bot will make threads for them. If you are in need of a refresher of how the bot works, here is the wiki page. For a tl;dr version:
- If the bot doesn't make a post for an episode you want, you can request it by pm. Don't make the thread on your own or it will likely be removed.
- The bot will stop making threads for an airing show when it sees that there were no comments on the previous week's episode. So, if you want to keep a show's threads going, keep discussing it.
- Feel free to tag the bot in the comments with a screenshot that you want to be the lead image. Please no spoilers or NSFW in these images. Also, be patient. This part isn't automated so that I can screen the images. I have to do all the images by hand, so it might not happen for a bit depending on my availability.
Sorry, I just noticed your meta question. I always hate when shows do this...
So, in past seasons when this has happened, AniList usually has the airtime listed as the first available release. So, in this case it would be a week ahead since that is when Netflix JP has it available. Since very few members of this forum probably have access to that, the thread would likely sit fallow for the better part of a week and is not going to get much activity.
In past seasons, what I have done is disabled automatic thread creation for shows like this, so that users can request a thread from the bot when they have had the chance to watch the episode and want to discuss it. We might have to end up doing something similar this season. Let's wait and see how the AniList api shakes out.
Who Killed the Hero?
I haven't read it, but have heard good things about the manga adaptation. So, it is on my to-read list at some point.
I Want to Be a Saint, But I Can Only Use Attack Magic!
This title was really funny to me because I played a D&D character that was the opposite of this in a campaign. He wanted to be a badass mage, but the only spells he could do were healing/buffing spells. It was a lot of fun.
My spring recap:
- Apocalypse Hotel - easily my AOTS. I just finished the finale and this show stuck the landing and is going to be one that I remember for a long time.
- Rock is a Lady's Modesty - I have yet to watch the finale, but I have enjoyed this a lot. If Bocchi isn't angry or yuri enough for you, then give this show a shot.
- Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire - I can see why this is compared to Eminence in Shadow, but I don't think it was as well executed with some slow periods through the season. The Guide vignettes were usually my favorite parts.
- Slime 300 - I only made it about halfway through the season before dropping it due to time. I am definitely going to finish it sometime though.
- Apothecary Diaries - I have the last couple episodes yet to watch, but the finale it is building up to looks like it will be great. Another excellent season.
- Gundam GquuuuuuX - Despite making the discussion threads for !gundam@ani.social, I am woefully behind on this show. I feel duty-bound to finish it though. o7
- Kowloon Generic Romance - I ended up dropping this one due to time, but I would be interested in coming back to it at some point. It had a really interesting premise and the KWC vibes were excellent.
- Lazarus - I dropped this after episode 2 and, based on the feedback I have seen elsewhere, I was right to do so.
Edit - Can't believe I forgot to mention these:
- Ninja and Assassin Under One Roof - This was a fantastically produced show that is probably one of the best dark comedies I have seen. It is really messed up and super dark quite often, but always manages to stay funny. It's a weird feeling.
- Too-Perfect Saint - I thought this was a well done adaptation despite the very limited production. If you are a fan of this genre, you could do much worse.
This one is sugar overload. I was annoyed in the beginning when they waited until the end of break to hang out, but they certainly made the most of it.
