The boss is great, such a pushover when it comes to being a disciplinarian.

If past patterns hold, Yokoajiro won't be the culprit, but will instead have had some other traumatic experience for our main characters to help with.

When this has happened in the past for a handful of episodes, I have allowed for some early discussion threads...but in this case I am going to have the bot stick to the official schedule. For one thing, these leaks don't have any subs, so most of this community would be unable to participate. Also, this leak is a whole season rather than the drip-feed of 1-2 episodes that we have had in the past.

So, normal spoiler rules apply for this show and discussion threads will still be created according to the official release schedule.

From the article:

While only Episode 1 has been officially released, all 12 episodes have appeared on unauthorized torrent sites. The material appears to be finalized, including full animation and audio, though the source of the leak remains unknown.

One of the circulating torrent file descriptions includes a link to a Japanese streaming site, happydouga.jp, though its connection to the leak is unverified and may have been falsely added by the uploader.

TIL about qView. I am going to give this a shot because I haven't found a great option for viewing webp outside the browser when I am stuck on Windows.

I really wish desktop image viewers supported it better instead of the browser being one of the few pieces of software that render them. For web use though, they are hard to beat when it comes to file size, so I understand why they have been so widely used in the fediverse where instances basically run off donations.

I have been super busy (and on vacation) and fallen behind on a lot of things. I did want to make a post with a couple that I have managed to keep up with though:

The past couple chapters have been really good. They have focused only on our main couple and it's been sweet as can be. Sometimes I feel like series like this one can get too distracted with all the interesting side characters it has, but the past few chapters have really brought the focus back in a satisfying way.

I have been reading this one for a long time and it has consistently been good. However, the past batch of chapters has been really good. If you have ever wanted to see how a manga couple deals with life throwing shit at them and trying to plan for life after school amidst it all, this is a good depiction of it. There are lots of chapters, but they are each only ~4-6 pages, so it goes quick.

I love how stupid and silly this series is. I was happy to read that ridiculous story about two girls that are infatuated with the same guy. However, it recently got pretty real and I have loved how it pivoted so seamlessly into serious feelings territory, but at the same time has kept its absurd sense of humor.

So, I just caught up with this series and it continues to impress. For being the author's first non-H work, the story in this series has been great. There are some great storylines going on involving some great characters. Looking forward to more.

Weekly ranking roundup:

  1. Reddit Karma - Weekly Winner: Dan Da Dan

Credit to /u/Abysswatcherbel for making the chart for reddit karma and /u/Nooble5 for the Anime Trending chart.

No AC or AT charts this week with the change in season. I am a bit surprised that Dan Da Dan was able to top the Apothecary Diaries finale. Looks like Takopi has also had a great showing in the karma rankings.

I was on vacation this past week, but managed to catch up on a few things and catch the premiere of a couple others:

  • Apothecary Diaries - Finished this season up and really liked it. I think I liked the first season better, but I would be hard pressed to point to a show that managed to pull off 48 episodes of as consistently good quality as this one. Looking forward to season 3 eventually.
  • Slime 300 - I caught up on this one and powered through the end of the season. It's more of the same, just with some new moe characters. I had fun.
  • Rock is a Lady's Modesty - I enjoyed the finale, but I kind of doubt this is getting another season. I will have to wait for the manga translations to catch the rest of the story.
  • Vending Machine Isekai - Boxxo is back and it picks up right where things left off. I wasn't sure what to expect with a season two of this premise, but a three-story tall ice vending machine wasn't it. This show remains as creative as ever.
  • Dan Da Dan - Speaking of picking up right where things left off... Good first episode back and remains as unhinged as ever. I never expected a Jennifer Lopez in Anaconda reference. I am pretty sure Dan Da Dan's primary audience was probably born after that movie came out.
  • Silent Witch - Good first episode and better production quality than I was expecting (plus easily the best Villainess of the season). Looking forward to the change in setting from episode 2 onwards.
  • New Saga - I read the manga for this one and I think I am going to drop the anime. If you watched the premiere and thought that you have seen this story before, it's likely that you have since the LNs came out over a decade ago when it might not have felt as derivative.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have disabled future threads for this show. It will still be requestable if somebody in a different region with a different release schedule wants a thread.

...unbelievably terrible move by netflix

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The fans would be cool about it I think given how they are Urumin x Kimiya shippers already. The real danger is if the other members find out.

The closest thing I can think of is Taisho Otome Fairy Tale. However, the MC loses function of his hand/arm early in the story due to an accident. Everything else seems to fit though. I remember reading the beginning of the series, but dropped it pretty quick. I don't remember why though, probably just had too many series to keep up with.

Premieres October 2025. The new PV is here. Check out the ANN article for additional information. Synopsis from the article:

The story centers on male high school student Akira, who went into cold sleep and woke up 200 years later to a world that was ravaged by war. A new unified organization called OWEL leads people, and a new system called "Elsie" (or "LC") has now taken the place of marriage.

Appearing before Akira after he wakes is an android named Yugure, who looks strikingly similar to his girlfriend Towasa. Yugure immediately proposes marriage to a baffled Akira. Akira then decides to go on a journey with Yugure, as he believes Towasa must still exist in this world.
