I'd argue that there is nothing to "solve" I mean steam doesn't even have a monopoly, nothing stops people from going to EGS, origin etc. other than their own shortcomings.

But even if we assume Steam has a monopoly, it is not abusive. They are looking out for developers and players alike and they provide a lot of services. I probably wouldn't have discovered half the indie games in my library if steam wasn't good at promoting these smaller games.

I am not saying Steam is the saviour of the gaming industry or anything like that, they are a company after all. But the "monopoly" exists without the utilization of bad practices like exclusivity deals unlike other players in the market.

Exactly my sentiments! I don't really enjoy the twitch culture. Recent streams are all about commenters making snarky comments and NL trying to outsmart them I feel like. I still enjoy his unprompted insane takes a lot though.

The Librarian for me, no competition. He analyzes horror games/stories so well and the dude has a very pleasant voice.

As a person who has lived in a more oppresive country for the most of his life, I can tell you with high confidence that when you hear "public order and morals" it is usually a whole load of bullshit to appease the general population. Also there is a very high chance that the people saying this shit gain something from the changes made to ensure the "public order and morals"
