Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron. I miss loving Ubuntu

I'm in the first camp. Atomic distros sound really neat, but I'm already happy where I am. I wish I could convince the people I work for to stop wanting to jump to some new framework or environment just because it has some neat additional features they didn't know they wanted until someone tried to sell them on it. I don't want to keep rebuilding and converting the same project. (And putting any new feature development on hold while we do so. I wonder why it seems like new ideas never get followed through on.)
Dude I felt like I learned how to lucid dream for like 3 dreams and then promptly forgot. Makes me wonder if it's just dreaming about knowing how to lucid dream.

On the 5th I was out playing some music by my sign that just reads "RESIST FASCISM". It was wild how many offended people were telling me I didn't really know what fascism really meant. Got a lot of "fascism isn't bad, actually" vibes but did my best to avoid getting pulled into those conversations, I'd just shrug and say I was going by what it says on Merriam-Webster, Oxford, Cambridge, Britannica, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia...
Everyone where I live: "Nothing grows out here!"
I mean, if you tear out all the local growth and try to instead grow foreign things that aren't suited to this environment, yeah.
